Planning medical treatment abroad: a step-by-step guide
From reports to recovery: how to plan treatment abroad calmly, and what to prepare.
Travelling for treatment is stressful. Planning step by step helps.
1. Collect your reports
Recent test results, scans (with CDs or download links), prescriptions and discharge summaries.
2. Get treatment plans
Hospitals review your reports and send a treatment plan with an estimated cost and length of stay. Compare more than one.
3. Medical visa
Most hospitals issue an invitation letter for the medical visa. Companions can usually apply too.
4. Travel and stay
Choose accommodation close to the hospital, and plan extra days for follow-up visits.
5. After you return
Keep all reports and bills together and share them with your doctor at home.
We can arrange all of this: send your reports and we'll come back with options.
We are a travel agency and do not give medical advice.
